British Athletes 2018 Championships

The SPAR British Athletics Indoor Championships at the Arena, Birmingham, had extra significance this year with the World Indoor Championships taking place two weeks later in the same venue.

Megan Marrs just wins the 60m hurdles


Megan Marrs was the unluckiest athlete of the weekend. She won the British Championship but was 2 hundredths of a second short of the qualifying standard for the World Championships.

Elish McColgan wins the 1500m

Elish McColgan was the busiest athlete, coming second in the 300m and then running a heat of the 1500m an hour later on Saturday afternoon before winning the 1500m on Sunday.

Gemma Bridge (city of Oxford) walked to a silver medal in the 5000m.
