Christian Taylor got his season off to a winning start

Doha Diamond League

The 2016 Diamond League series got underway in Doha last week. Olympic and World Champion, Christian Taylor won the Triple Jump with a World Lead 17.23. Tori Bowie(USA) won the women’s 100 in 10.80 from Dafne Schippers (Netherlands and Veronica Campbell-Brown (Jamaica), with all three women comfortably under 11 seconds.

Almaz Ayana (Ethiopia) won the 3000 metres in with Mercy Cherono (Kenya) second. Ethiopia’s Geleta Burka was third and Vivian Cheruiyot (Kenya) fourth – reversing the order from the 2015 World Championship which Cheruiyot won from Burka.

Rabat 22 May
Eugene 28 May
