I spent a week in Barcelona supporting athletes, encouraging chaplains and writing for the Oxford Mail. It was a brilliant event and exciting from a UK perspective with the team taking a record 19 medals! However, it was not the easiest occasion for 1-2-1 meetings and I was a little disappointed with my time there.Ironically my two days at Crystal Palace (Diamond League) were unexpectedly productive with lots of good contacts –including with two people I had tried and failed to find in Barcelona who just turned up where I was and initiated contact with me!
