"I love the sense of satisfaction that I get when I’ve done a swimming workout or race, and know that I gave my whole being and heart to God in every moment of the swim. It’s the best worship I can offer him."
Commonwealth Games 2010
Stuart was in Delhi working at the Commonwealth Games. He writes:"I had a great time at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. I worked as a journalist for the Oxford Mail and had articles in the paper on nine consecutive days – including two back page main stories. The media accreditation gave me access to the athletes’ village and all the venues.
"I was able to pray with an England coach 4 times. I met with - and hopefully encouraged – the chaplains a few times. During the games I received information about different competitors with a faith and was able to spend time – brief or longer – with a Rwandan coach and runner, a Canadian runner and a South African hockey player.
I am pleased to report that I saw no bridges collapse and suffered no “Delhi belly”. I was however disturbed to discover that an Australian journalist I had worked with had contracted dengue fever. Security was extremely tight and one had to get used to being screened, frisked as well as having bags x-rayed and searched 10 times a day.
