"It matters a great deal who is going to win, but not at all who won"
World Indoor Athletics
I was at the World Athletics Championships in Sopot, Poland in March 2014. First the geography lesson. Sopot is on the North coast of Poland, next to Gdansk.Sopot beach

Blue tracks are now the fashion. These pictures were at an open practice session, the day before the action started.

They were expecting me!

Modern communications are wireless I believe. Incredibly this collection is just next to our seats.
This is exit from our row.
I love indoor athletics; you are so close to the action.
I did some media work for 2K+ radio and other outlets in addition to supporting and encouraging athletes. A highlight was doing "church" for some of the GB team.
I attended a lot of press conferences, this one with the medallists in the Womens' 60 metres
This is what it was all about.
A lovely feature of the World Indoors is the banquet on the final day with 1,000 attending.
The GB women's relay team received their medals at the banquet.
